Medanta Africare Diagnostic Center (Affliated to Medanta, India), Nairobi Kenya

Key Contributions:

• Conceptualized elegant, multifunctional state of the art diagnostic center, a one of it’s kind facility in Kenya.
• Coordinated between the medical consulting team and the team of contractors translating their requirements into functional designs.
• Developed entire design concept (including fixture/furniture selection, space planning and architectural details), ensured code compliance (commercial grade) of all fabrics and finishes.

 
Coco Chic, the first lingerie boutique, Nairobi Kenya
Jan’12 – Mar’12
Coco Chic introduced ‘LE MYSTIERE’ brand endorsed by Oprah Winfrey

• Created and executed the design concept and color scheme choices for assigned client (an upscale, regional women’s lingerie boutique translating into a chic, well acclaimed boutique.

Intex Construction Ltd, Nairobi Kenya

• Affiliated with Intex Construction Ltd since 1999 on various projects such as four commercial design executions (Corporate & Regional Offices)

Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces, Mumbai, India
2001
Key Contributions:

• As an Interior Design Consultant, helped source all artwork, object d’art; and select and source design elements for all public areas such as lobby for 3 of their prestigious hotels: Taj Mahal Hotel & Towers Mumbai, Taj President Mumbai and Taj Mahal Hotel New Delhi
• At Taj Exotica Hotel & Resort, Maldives, created, developed and presented three different styles of mock-up rooms.
• Created an overall design concept for the Resort & Spa in terms of ambience, textures, mood elements liaising with architects, selecting and sourcing complete design palettes

Ananda in the Himalayas, New Delhi, India
1998 -2000
Key Contributions:

• The first Destination Resort Spa of its kind in India, operated by Mandarin Oriental Group, Hong Kong
• Conducted all research and development to create a best in class Spa through extensive travelling and studying different Spa styles such as:- Siva-Som, Hua Hin; Mandarin Oriental Hotel & Spa, Hong Kong and Taipei; The Datai, Langkawi, Malaysia; Aman resorts

• Helped source all the art work, object d’art and chose elements used for designing which included all floors, furnishings and other various decorative electrical elements.
• Liaised with acclaimed design firm: CCA handling all interior design related activities from conception to execution coordinating implementation of design as point person for all contractors.
• Created graphics for table layouts, color schemes, and created rendition of all Spa elements such as In – room amenities, artwork, music and fragrance as well.

Talathi and Panthaki Associates, Mumbai, India
1996-1998

• Worked as an Assistant Designer on conceptualizing prestigious Jewellery boutiques: Popley Plaza and Arena; and creating interior design elements for Luxury Farmhouses in Alibaug
• Responsible for choosing of presentation boards, managing primary inventory work, site measurements, elevations, planning budgets and making approximations
